Mental health parity and addiction equity laws and agency regulations preserve the rights of individuals experiencing mental or addiction-related disorders in the workplace or with respect to treatment and services covered by an employer-offered health plan. It is vital that employers have an understanding of MHPAEA’s substantive testing and audit compliance requirements in order to remain complaint with these ever-evolving laws and agency regulations. In this advanced program, participants will learn the nuts and bolts of the MHPAEA plan analysis process with an eye toward agency audit defense.
In particular, program participants will:
Learn the components of quantitative treatment limitations testing
Learn the components of non-quantitative treatment limitations review
Explore the substantive analysis and documentation required to establish a plan’s mental health parity compliance; and
Explore notice requirements for receiving and responding to employee requests for MHPAEA information at the plan-level
Speakers will include:

David Weiner, Senior Director, Health and Benefits Compliance, Willis Towers Watson
